Edits have begun

On Friday morning, I received edits from my publisher. I started work on them that evening. So far, I am about a third of the way through and, I have to say, the edits are not onerous at all. No serious issues to deal with so far.

It was similar with volume one and I am trying not to be complacent. Fortunately, my imposter syndrome keeps my feet firmly attached to terra firma.

On the sad news front, the audiobook of volume one will not enjoy a third consecutive month at the top of my publisher's audio chart. One of the other audio books is being discounted by audible.com and this has led to its sales being boosted. Two months at the top of the chart is not to be sniffed at and, with any luck, I'll rise to the top again.

My amazing illustrator has started work on the internal illustrations for the book. I have seen early work on two of them and, once again, she has managed to read my mind perfectly. I am really impressed with how they are coming along.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd better get back to those edits.
