As a writer seeking to build a brand or presence, what are the best tools to use?

There are almost too many sites you can be on and the maintenance of them becomes a job in itself at the expense of your writing time.

So far, I'm on Facebook, Twitter (no, I won't call it X), Instagram, Threads, and BlueSky. Quite frankly that's more than enough.

Of these, the least effective is BlueSky. I'm getting no traction there at all. Perhaps that reflects who is on there as I post the same stuff on all platforms. Threads is the best at the moment as there are a lot of writers on there.

I don't know. Any advice?
